About Us

Programmable logic controller in industry

Industrial Automation Systems (IAS) is a systems integration firm specializing in industrial automation, controls, and manufacturing support. Since 1994, IAS has partnered with manufacturers to design, integrate, and support reliable automation systems that improve efficiency, visibility, and long-term performance.

IAS works closely with operations and technical teams to help customers connect equipment, processes, and data into cohesive production systems. Our services support projects ranging from individual system upgrades to fully integrated production lines, including front-end consulting, electrical design, HMI development, systems integration, and on-site commissioning.

We actively manage projects across the United States , serving manufacturers in industries such as food and beverage, pet food, paste supply, and box manufacturing. Our work is grounded in practical solutions, clear documentation, and hands-on support, with a reputation built on technical knowledge and consistent execution.

Our Story

IAS was founded in 1994 in Metairie, Louisiana, when a group of experienced integrators decided to branch out to start their own automation firm focused on reliability, technical expertise, and lasting customer partnerships. Early on, IAS understood the benefits of automation— increased quality and efficiency at a lower cost.

In its early years, IAS concentrated primarily on the food and beverage and oil and gas industries, supporting manufacturers with control system design, systems integration, and startup services. As customer needs evolved, the company expanded its capabilities and industry reach while growing steadily through repeat business and strong client referrals.

Today, IAS supports a wide range of manufacturing environments, integrating vendor-supplied equipment, customer-owned systems, and plant-wide controls into reliable production operations. While technology continues to evolve, IAS remains focused on delivering automation solutions that work as intended, are practical to support, and contribute to long-term operational success.
